Cabriolet Project – Sold
The 1932 Ford Cabriolet is one of the most distinctive early Ford body styles, combining an open-air profile with the doors, windshield, and roll-up windows of a true convertible coupe. Its classic proportions make it a natural foundation for a traditional hot rod or a fully custom build.
This Cabriolet has been sold, but the build remains a strong example of the careful fabrication, chassis planning, metal work, body fitment, paint, and detail work handled at Klassy Kar Sales. The focus stayed on clean craftsmanship, reliable drivability, and the stance and finish that make a ’32 Ford feel right from every angle.

Project Highlights
From Rough Body To Complete Cabriolet
This 1932 Ford Cabriolet required extensive metal repair and body restoration. These highlights follow the project from the weathered original body through lower-panel fabrication, rear wheel-opening repair, floor reconstruction, bodywork, panel fitting, and complete vehicle assembly.
Before Restoration
The Original Cabriolet Body
The weathered red body arrived with extensive deterioration in the lower panels, floors, wheel openings, and structural areas.
Lower Body Repair
New Lower Cowl Metal
A new lower cowl section was shaped and fitted beside the door opening to replace rusted and damaged original steel.
Sheetmetal
Rear Wheel-Opening Repair
The rear wheel opening was reconstructed with new shaped metal, carefully tack-welded into the original quarter panel.
Floor Reconstruction
Rebuilt Trunk Floor
The rear floor and trunk structure were rebuilt with fresh metal to restore strength and provide a clean foundation inside the body.
Bodywork
Panel Fit & Surface Work
The yellow body shows filler and sanding work underway while the doors, cowl, and quarter panels are fitted and refined.
Complete Vehicle
Back Together As A Cabriolet
The assembled Cabriolet brings the repaired body, fenders, hood, grille, lights, wheels, and trim back together as a complete car.
